“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page” – St. Augustine
I may not have visited as many places as some, but year by year, trip by trip, I’ve started to gain a little repertoire of travel adventures. Someday when I’m an old lady, I want to look back on my life and rest assured I embraced this life wholeheartedly. Traveling is important to me. Thankfully, it’s important to Howie as well. We have personally made the decision that when push comes to shove, we are going to spend money on experiences rather than things. Accumulate memories, not shoes (unless the shoes are absolutely fabulous and perhaps purchased while travelling).
This little corner of my blog is where I’ll keep posts related to my travel adventures. Some old, some new, with a little bit of advice thrown in. Little by little I’m writing up about some of my past adventures so come back often to see what else is new. Several of these links will take you to my 2007 travel blog called “Cheryl in Holland” where I chronicled my time studying travelling in and around the Netherlands. The great thing about reading my travel posts is that 90% of the time I’ve done something absolutely ridiculous (ie. hitch-hiking in a Belgian farmer’s tractor, losing my passport in Spain) in each location that will make you feel a whole lot more at ease if ever you decided to venture out into these places.
