Wedding Reflections

Even though my wedding has come and gone, I’m still hooked on the wedding scene. Not only do I get to relive wedding magic as a bridesmaid for friends and sisters, but two months after I hung up my wedding dress I became a certified wedding planner. It’s not my day job, but I use my passion and love of weddings to assist my amazing friend Kate with her growing company, The Little White Dress.

Every so often I have the urge to write about memories from my own day and experiences with weddings in present day. This blog series offers the benefit of hindsight to couples going through the wedding process now:

More about The Little White Dress:

After completing a biomedical science degree and beginning a career in the environmental science field, Kate realized that her true passion rested in helping couples bring their wedding visions to life. The Little White Dress was born in 2010 and since then, business has been booming as more and more couples have come to appreciate Kate’s unique perspective, creativity, and supportive working relationship.

In the fall of 2011 I completed the WPIC wedding planner’s course to be able to assist Kate with her busy wedding schedule. While Kate manages the full wedding coordination services, I take on day-of coordination services when Kate has more than one wedding to pull off in a weekend. For couples seeking advice, expert help, or one-of-a-kind ideas, TLWD offers flexible consultation packages which have helped many brides and grooms overcome obstacles at any stage of their wedding planning process.

Kate has published a really helpful e-report called “How to get the Most Bang for your Wedding Planning Buck” in addition to a weekly article feature offering tips, tricks and inspiration for brides and people obsessed with weddings like me.  I highly recommend you check it out!
